Consider the following recommendations to execute this activity effectively:
- Before students post, they should review those already posted to be sure that no one else in the class has chosen the same one. If someone has, they must choose a different article or media item. It’s recommended students post their choice as soon as possible.
- It’s also recommended that students post the link before they write the summary, to ensure that someone else doesn’t make the same choice before they are able to complete the written portion of the assignment.
- Clearly articulate activity instructions and expectations, such as purpose, context, collaboration methods, submission format, deadlines, netiquette, model submission examples.
- Consider a rubric to provide students with directions and how their submission(s) will be evaluated.
